Confessions1. Big surprise - I'm a card carrying member of AARP. Not difficult to do since the only requirement is that one must be 50 years old. The last year of the baby boom was 1960-61, making the youngest boomers at least 56 years old. Thought about this when I saw the video 'Millennials Show Us What 'Old' Looks Like'. 2. Ageism reared its ugly head during my 40's. That was before 40 was the new 30. My mom told me it would happen, but I didn't believe her until it did. She lied about her age for so long, on her 60th birthday we held a surprise 50th birthday party for her. It was then I decided to make 40 my new 30. That only helped a little.
