Now is the time to take action.
There are women’s conferences in plenty of places, yes we know that. But we take our Values very seriously at Ellevate Network, and we truly believe in Taking Action (hint: that’s partially why a bird is our logo - flight, movement, change - let’s do this.).
We believe that when you open up your mind and hear from the experts and from people who have different experiences from yourself, you make smarter decisions (see: The Power of Diversity). At #MobilizeWomen, you’ll hear from:
Sallie Krawcheck, Chair of Ellevate Network, CEO of Ellevest
Jessica Bennett, Author of Feminist Fight Club
Craig Newmark, Founder of craigslist
Kelly Cutrone, Best-Selling Author, The Hills, America’s Next Top Model, Dr. Phil
Wade Davis, former NFL player, Diversity & Inclusion Consultant, Speaker
Stephanie Lampkin, CEO & Founder, Blendoor
And you’ll receive an Action Guide/ Manifesto that literally gives you tips to take action as early as that night to stand up for yourself, other women, and equality. Boom.
Taking action starts with investing in yourself, and we’ve been talking about that for a long time now.
Nobody can take care of others or look after them if they are not taking care of themselves. We believe that you should make it a habit to invest in yourself. Sometimes that means yoga, sometimes that means wine, and other times, it means taking a day off work to #MobilizeWomen.
Women are pretty amazing.
Feminism didn’t start with the Women’s March (but that’s awesome too). We honor the women that came before us (see #FemaleRoleModel) while looking forward to the future.
How do we do that? We bring together some of the most thoughtful and bad*ss women that exist, and we put them in a room together. We ask thought-provoking questions. We write about it, we talk about it, and we take those lessons into our everyday lives, #TakeBackFeminism style.
Men who support women also rock.
We’re pretty steadfast in the belief that men need to be in the conversations about Equality. We believe that men are advocates, friends, mentors, and have valuable things to say (as well as hear) about the role of women in the world.
We’ve invited some of these men to the Summit (see Craig Newmark, founder of Craigslist and the Craig Nemark Foundation and Wade Davis, diversity and inclusion consultant, speaker, educator and former NFL player), and we’re looking forward to working with them to change the world. No big deal.
You can attend online.
We would love to see you in person and take a pretty picture, but if you can’t make it - livestream it! You can listen to it on your commute, at work, or do a lunch & learn with your colleagues.
We think the content of this event is not something we want to keep a secret - we want to share the solutions, the inspiration, and the practical tips that you can bring to your life.
You can also register in person here. See you June 21st!
