Why did you join a Squad?

I've participated in Squads four times now because I love getting to know like-minded professionals in a deeper and more lasting setup than a typical networking event might allow. I've benefited from the networks of my Squad members in the form of paid work and invaluable insights and encouragement. They help me understand what other professionals in different industries are experiencing and that I'm not alone in my ambitions and challenges.

What have you learned from your Squads experience?

I have learned that we all need a sense of belonging and we all grow from constructive feedback and affirmation. I've come to know some common fears and barriers women are facing.

Ambitious women are restless! They're always ready for the next challenge. Many are considering switching careers to find fulfillment and to use more of their talents, but there is the fear of starting from scratch and wondering whether the grass is really greener on the other side.

What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about joining a Squad?

Many of us can get so busy that we stop thinking about what we really want, and sometimes we stop making time to just think. Squads are a chance to stop and process where you are, where you want to be, and how to close that gap. I love that in Squads, we can talk about managing conflicts in professional settings as well as making improvements to home life. Any chance I get, I recommend friends to join a Squad.
