LIVESTREAM: Inspiring the Next Generation of Women in Tech

The good news: We’re making great strides in closing the gender gap in the technology realm.

The bad news: Many tech startups remain to be a "boy's club" and struggle with retaining or attracting female talent.

Despite the fantastic initiatives and companies getting girls into STEM and companies valuing Diversity and Inclusion, well-established companies still fill 80% of their tech jobs with men, in addition to maintaining work environments that are not inclusive. This issue has affected generations of women and minorities in the fields of technology, engineering, and computer science, creating challenges to climbing the ladder in their prospective workplaces.

Our world is becoming increasingly saturated with tech innovations that change our everyday lives and reshape our world (for better and worse). Making a change to the gender imbalance and tapping into the current and upcoming talent of women and girls in tech is absolutely imperative for all of our futures.

So join Ellevate in partnership with IHS Markit and a panel of women in the tech field as we get real about their experiences, celebrate the inevitable revolution of the industry, and dive into the wealth of emerging opportunities for women and girls.
