Young Professionals Article Salon | Using Busy as an Excuse?
New York, NY • February 4, 2020
Taking time to reflect on new goals? Too busy to consider why you’re so busy? Join Ellevate YoPros to discuss the cultural phenomenon of using “busy” as an excuse & taking ownership of our lives.
Tuesday, February 4, 2020 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM ESTCapco
77 Water St
New York, NY 10005
If one of your new year’s ~intentions~ is to be less busy in 2020, this event is for you! We will discuss 'Do I Use "Busy" as an Excuse' in February, right around the time those intentions start to get a little foggy...
We’ll dive into the science behind how our brains handle busy-ness and stress, and how that applies to our real lives amid the hustle and drive that’s inherent in NYC corporate culture.
Bring your perspective on taking time for yourself, and any ways you’re reframing your work and personal life this year (if at all!) Discussion will take place in an intimate salon-like round table with plenty of wine!
Please read the article in advance of the event. We will have some prompts prepared to get the conversation started, but this will be an informal and interactive session.
Light snacks and wine will be served.
Less commitment than a book club, but deeper conversation than a networking event, the Article Salon is the busy young professional's opportunity to engage with fellow Ellevate members on tough topics relevant to our day-to-day lives. Article Salons are part of the Young Professionals "Feeling Inspired" series.
