Since DRIVEN’s 2020 Word of the Year is Clarity, during this year, we must acknowledge that ‘my reality isn’t THE reality’. As you courageously discover the difference between your truth and THE truth, you’ll be wise to rely on a healthy dose of self-compassion, as you recognize and forgive yourself for having been ‘wrong’ about assumptions and judgments you’ve made in the past. With newfound understanding due to the dissipated fog, and greater clarity, you’ll no doubt be embarrassed by past myopic, ignorant, Pollyannaish, uninformed, and downright silly points of view.
