The Basics of Impact Investing

Join Elisabeth Dewailly for a webinar about impact investing: what it is today versus how it used to be perceived, the different kinds, and how to become an impact investor.

Tue, May 12, 2020 12:00 PM - 12:45 PM EDT

We traditionally think of impact investors as those who are willing to sacrifice returns to support specific causes, but impact investing can be appealing for anyone looking to invest, even those just seeking higher returns.

Learn about what impact investing is today versus how it used to be perceived, as well as the different kinds of impact investing (socially responsible, sustainable, thematic, impact first, ESG, etc.).

The industry as a whole is growing, and much more is available now than even a few years ago. Investors from all backgrounds can become more involved in impact investing, and Elisabeth can show you how.

Elisabeth is a Harvard graduate who joined Merrill as a financial advisor after three years of working as an analyst at a hedge fund. She is a partner at the Sternlieb Novick Group, an all-female team of financial advisors, where she focuses on impact investing - a form of investing that can deliver market-rate returns while also creating a social and community benefit. Her focus is on developing tailored strategies for a select group of high-net-worth individuals, their families, and their businesses to help them achieve their short and long term goals.
