Thursday, May 14, 2020 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM CDT
Maryam Naderi opened Paloma in November 2016 as the first clean beauty destination in Houston to provide a non-toxic nail experience in a clean, modern space.
Naderi founded the concept on the belief that beauty and wellness can co-exist.With fourteen years of energy management consulting on her resume, Naderi has had extensive beauty service experiences around the world, and she discovered that many toxic chemicals commonly used during manicure and pedicure services in the U.S., namely, formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate, toluene, formaldehyde resin, and camphor, are banned in Europe and Australia because they are known carcinogens. While the harmful effects of these ingredients can be nominal for customers, they can be lethal for technicians exposed to products containing these ingredients on a daily basis.
In an effort to set a higher standard for nail salons and to cater to clients’ desires for non-toxic nail care solutions, Naderi opened Paloma intending to disrupt the tired industry practice of using harmful chemicals and launch a new era of healthy nail care.
Recently, she's had to adapt her business model during the Covid pandemic resulting in fast tracking her e-commerce goals.
Maryam will share her tips and tricks for an at home mani-pedi. You can purchase Paloma's non-toxic Pedi Kits prior to joining our online event here:
