With every challenge there is opportunity.
The bad news: This year has been full of hardship, change, and confusion. Opportunities to safely connect in-person with our friends and colleagues are few and far between. Chances to physically engage and volunteer with the nonprofits and organizations we value have dwindled. You want to help, but you’re unsure how.
The good news: You are not alone. Other professional women are also wondering – how can I continue to provide value and assistance to my community? How can I keep myself safe while giving to others? Professional women (like you!) bring amazing talent and enduring dedication to the table. They’re a vital component to the continuance of strong networks and strong communities.
THE BEST NEWS: You can join Ellevate Pittsburgh for a virtual lunch and learn on October 21, 2020 from Noon to 1 p.m. EST on how to give back to your network and community during the COVID-19 pandemic. This will include presentations from leaders of Dress for Success Pittsburgh and Girl Scouts of Western Pennsylvania, focusing on how they’ve been able to pivot during this difficult year and continue to provide the community service and leadership training that are hallmarks of their organizations. It will also feature discussions between attendees on ways they’ve been able to give back this year and their continued plans for doing so.
Together, we will rise to the challenge.
