At our first Mobilize Women event of 2021, corporate leaders, community organizers and journalists will lead an important discussion about the momentum of the movement to eradicate systemic racism.
Thu, Feb 11, 2021 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM EST
It’s been six months since the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and Ahmaud Arbery ignited America in protest, in discourse, and in conversation. We’ve watched Black Lives Matter transform from a movement into a full on political force. We’ve witnessed discussions of systemic racism migrate from our homes to the workplace. This conversation is no longer a marginal one, so what comes next? How do we continue to cultivate the changes we need?
Our first Mobilize Women event of 2021 will be an important discussion about the momentum of the movement to eradicate systemic racism. Our panelists, Chivona Newsome (Black Lives Matter Greater NY), Katrina Jones (Amazon), Aundrea Cline-Thomas (CBSN New York), and Daisy Auger-Dominguez (VICE Media) will be bringing their range of expertise as grassroots organizers, corporate leaders, and the media and have a candid talk about:
- The companies that publicly announced the internal changes they pledged to make to support their Black employees. Where do they stand?
- How leaders can implement real and intentional change in their workplaces for their Black team members
- What we as leaders, workers, women, and allies can do to support the continued growth of the Black Lives Matter movement
