In 1971 Congress designated August 26th as Women's Equality Day. One day is not enough. There has been movement yet to achieve equality remains a significant undertaking. The wage gap continues to exist -- impacting women's economic power and well-being.
History is the foundation for the future. The first — and only — right that the U.S. Constitution specifically affirms equally for women and men is the right to vote. What does the Equal Rights Amendment Mean Today? "The ERA is more relevant and important than ever.
