Mary Beckman is the Chief of the Non-Profit Organizations/Public Charities Division in the Office of the Attorney General Martha Coakley
This division oversees public charities, including major hospitals and health insurance organizations. Its purpose is to safeguard the public interest in these organizations and ensure the proper solicitation and use of charitable funds. Mary has served as Compliance Officer at Boston Children’s Hospital, Assistant Secretary for Health Policy and Deputy Legal Counsel to the Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She began her career as a Health Law Associate at Ropes & Gray LLP and holds an AB from Dartmouth College in Comparative Religion, German and Literature, and a JD from Yale Law School.
Sylvia Ferrell-Jones is the President & CEO of YWCA Boston.
Sylvia joined YW Boston in late January 2007, after 25 years in the fields of real-estate investment management and nonprofit governance and executive leadership. At YWCA Boston, she has shepherded a dramatic shift in the organization’s focus, leading towards greater financial stability and enhanced programmatic outcomes. Sylvia currently serves on the Board of Directors for United Church Funds, the Board of Overseers for the Handel and Haydn Society, and sits on an advisory board for Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Women’s Network.
Kristin Zampell Noon is the Executive Director of the Wenham Museum.
Kristin joined her first board at age 27 and has been passionately involved in the nonprofit sector since. After accepting the position of Executive Director of the Wenham Museum in September 2012, Kristin led the institution through the completion of a new Strategic Plan and its reaccreditation by the American Alliance of Museums. She came to this leadership position from the practice of law, having worked in the areas of estate planning and administration and nonprofit corporate law. Kristin currently serves on the Board of Directors of Beverly Bootstraps Community Services and the Grants Management Committee of the Essex County Community Foundation.
