The Fun and Fundamentals of Networking
1 hour
Online • Closed Captioned •

We know that networking is essential for finding a new job, developing your career, or growing your business. Yet it’s a challenge for many people. Maybe you’re not comfortable talking to strangers, or dread getting stuck in boring conversations that you think you’re not getting any value from. Perhaps promoting yourself makes you cringe. And what about the icky feeling you get at the thought of asking your contacts for introductions to people in their networks? We get it.
But what if you found a way to enjoy networking? To make it fun, meaningful, and purposeful?
Join networking experts Deena Baikowitz and Suzanne Weller for a workshop that will help you uncover the art and science of networking, and enrich your life and career. You’ll learn to change your mindset and approach, and nurture relationships with simple techniques that work for you.
In this interactive session, we’ll cover how to:
- Create strategic networking goals that support what you’re looking to achieve
- Identify, and prioritize, the right networking activities to meet your specific goals
- Set a positive mindset, get rid of negative self talk, and build your confidence
- Make a positive, memorable impression in live and virtual spaces
- Create an action plan and effective follow-up techniques
Our workshop gives you a fantastic opportunity to learn and experiment! We’ll create a safe space where everyone can share their voices, offer support, and learn from each other. Yes, we’ll likely be pushed to the edges of our comfort zones . . . but it’s worth it so we can get to the other side of awkwardness!
