About the speakers: <br>
Alexis Ringwald is the founder of Valence Energy, a smart microgrid company based in Silicon Valley and India. Previously a Fulbright scholar to India researching renewable energy finance and climate change at The Energy Resource Institute (TERI), Alexis published India Renewable Energy Trends oriented towards the business and investor community on the most exciting developments in clean energy sector. In addition, Alexis co-organized the Climate Solutions Road Tour to travel 2,400 miles across India in solar electric cars to document the best solutions to climate change and engage young people to create more. Manju Seal was the 2008 recipient of the American Marshall Fellowship (www.gmfus.org), and is currently President of Narika’s (www.narika.org) Board of Directors and President of the Northern CA chapter of 85 Broads. She has been an investment professional for over eleven years with an emphasis in structured finance and fixed income. She is a VP alumna from Goldman Sachs, New York, 1997-2002. She has worked in leadership positions in the structured products arena from 2003-2007 in the Bay area. At McMorgan Co., she implemented securitized strategy worth $4 billion across all their institutional accounts. She recently spearheaded Friends of Live Earth (FOLE) – India (http://liveearth.org/friends-of-live-earth-events/) helping raise awareness regarding climate crisis with over 1.1 million kids and adults in participation. Billboard magazine reported “the goal of this was to connect with common people.” She has also been leading efforts in India to establish 85 Broads network via a Mumbai chapter. Manju has Master’s degrees in math and ethnomusicology. She is an avid traveler and has visited over ten countries over the past 18 months. <br><br>
Sasha Grinshpun is a career and executive coach based in the Bay Area. Sasha combines her gift for quickly gauging life passions of her clients with her experience in formulating effective job searches for them to sculpt their dream jobs as well as be most effective as an entrepreneur/executive. She is renowned for getting to the heart of the conversation around, “What do you really want?!” and how to get it. Her eclectic background spans multiple roles and industries across four continents. Sasha has worked as an international management consultant at Monitor Group, innovation consultant with IDEO, VP of Business Development and Sales at a start-up (whose office used to be Janis Joplin’s old apartment), and, now, as a high-impact career and executive coach. Sasha was most recently selected as a coach for the Harvard Business School executive education course, New Path, focused on executive women in career transition. Prior to her twelve-year career in business, Sasha worked on projects that have included conducting genetics research as part of the Human Genome project and writing documentary scripts for National Geographic Television. Sasha is fluent in Russian, Portuguese, and Spanish.
