Salon du Musée is modeled after European art salons of the late nineteenth century and serves as a public forum for promoting the exchange of ideas and passion for art among artists and viewers. Salon is produced by Salon d’Arts, Inc., a Colorado non-profit. In addition to being a compelling exhibition, Salon du Musée is a signature fundraiser for the Denver Art Museum with all net proceeds benefiting the institution.

With works selected by the Denver Art Museum’s curators, the exhibition and auction will feature vetted and significant artworks from each genre. Each department curator will invite three artists to each submit three works resulting in an exhibition of more than 80 one-of-a-kind works ranging in value from $1,000 up to $25,000. The exhibition is a unique opportunity to see the breadth of the museum’s collections represented through new objects from each genre.
