Calm & Connect Community Meditation
Online • Closed Captioned •
Meditation is an incredible asset, supporting the health of our mind, body, and spirit. Meditation enables the ability to shift perspectives, to stay grounded and not get caught up in the mental mania so that we can not only survive, but thrive.
Meditation also fosters kindness and compassion, something we cannot get enough of right now. The Dalai Lama, deeply familiar with pain, struggle, and crisis, at a young age, articulates “Love and Kindness are necessities, not luxuries. Without them, we will not survive. Now more than ever, Meditation is a huge need to support turbulent times. Meditation enables us to connect more deeply to ourselves and ultimately the world around us.
Meditation reduces stress, combats anxiety and depression, and boosts the immune system (vs. stress which conversely depresses the immune system).
Meditation also creates fertile ground for neural plasticity AND aids in overall contentment.
That’s just the short-list.

Anita and Erin! I am so very sorry that you both had trouble. My sincerest apologies! The link was sent in the email that went out on Saturday. Was that the one that didn't work? I tried it myself from the email, just now, and it dropped me into the zoom room, but also know that Zoom had updates in the last few days that created some trouble over all. A little bit about Calm & Connect - It is a group I've guided since the start of Covid, comprised of Ellevate members and my own community - and together we've created quite an incredible Sunday family. If you would like to get all the details and be assured of no trouble with links, we would love to have you and welcome you to sign up in the link which was automated and went out today. Wishing you both a wonderful start to your year, Rachel
