Join Verizon and Ellevate DC - IN PERSON - for a signature Ellevate Mentoring Meetup.
Our Mentoring Meetups involve casual rotating 1-on-1 "speed-mentoring sessions" facilitating intimate discussions about a variety of subjects. Attendees come as either a "mentee" or "mentor".
Come to get advice, have some fun, meet other members of the same community, and potentially pursue mentoring relationships on your own terms.
The world of work has changed, but we continue to look for ways to reach higher, seek new opportunities, and find ways to be seen, valued, and promoted. Navigating work relationships and strategically thinking about your career have never been more important.
Ideas for your discussions could include:
- how you can grow your confidence and visibility
- thrive in male-dominated industries and spaces, especially as a marginalized person
- how to feel less isolated and grow your network again
- how to express creativity and ensure you’re participating in the right projects to propel your career
- what steps and milestones to include in your career progression plan
- advocate for others, especially the younger workforce
