DFW Monthly Discussion

Join us at our monthly discussion: What does it mean to create your own table?

"When was the last time you honored your desire to bring something to the world in your own way, and on your own terms?"

From Tosca DiMatteo's article "Create your own table"

At our next meeting, we'll be discussing what it means to "create your own table" and bring your passion to life. We may hear people talk about wanting to build their own businesses, pursue their dream job, or transition a hobby to be a career. Although "creating your own table" means something different for each of us, this motivation is always somewhere inside us.

We'll take some time to share what this idea of "creating our own table" can mean for each of us.

Some questions to consider before our discussion:

  • What does this mean for you?
  • What does it look like?
  • How do you know if you achieved it?

And then we'll spend some time discussing other points from the article, like:

  • What it means to invite yourself first to the table
  • What community could be for you
  • How "rugged individualism" can get in your way
  • What receiving and giving looks like for you (To the author, it's reciprocal)

We look forward to the thoughtful and meaningful discussion regarding what creating your own table could be and how you could bring this into your life to make your dreams and aspirations a reality.

Running late or can't stay until 6:00pm? No problem! Come when you can and stay as long as you are able. Appetizers, wine and non-alcoholic beverages will be on hand.

We are hosting these monthly meetings at Serendipity Labs, our new co-working space partners. Appetizers and drinks will be on hand (wine and nonalcoholic assortment).

Serendipity Labs is on the 4th floor of the NTT building. There is plenty of free parking in the visitor spaces of the parking garage to the building.
