Managing Your Online Brand
During this session, Judith Lewis will provide advice and tools to help you build and manage your online brand identity more effectively looking at:
- What reputation management is
- How employers are researching and what you need to be aware of – social media and search’s influence over what people, including potential employers, see and think of us
- Creating a digital profile and life beyond LinkedIn – when building or fixing a reputation online, what areas are easy to influence, how and why
- How to monitor what is being said online in your name – setting up search monitors and alerts for free
- Fixing your reputation online – if something is wrong (or missing) from your online profile, how do you fix it even with a very common name
After Judith’s presentation there will be a panel Q&A session with Judith as well as:
Sue Black, Senior Research Associate, Software Systems Engineering Group at UCL and Senior Consultant at Cornerstone Global Associates.
Rebecca Hollis, Founder and CEO, Big Biscuits
Bindi Karia, VC/Emerging Business Lead, Microsoft
Jane Lewis, Senior Premier Field Engineer, Microsoft
The Q&A will be followed by an opportunity to network over drinks and canapés with our speakers as well as Microsoft employees. If you are interested in potentially working for Microsoft, more information about their current open roles can be found here: http://careers.microsoft.com/careers/en/gb/home.aspx.
The event is free to attend and as we anticipate a high demand for a limited number of places, please sign up early to avoid disappointment.
