So, your team finally understands the importance of social media— and you’ve got plans to listen, respond, and engage with your community. But where does social live? Is it cross functional? Relegated to marketing? And how can your company truly be leaders in the social space without spending money on around the clock staff? In this session we’ll discuss how the tools of social media can best be optimized across your organization, and how you can create a strategy that can be executed efficiently and effectively.
Carrie Kerpen is the co-founder and CEO of Likeable Media, which she grew from a husband-and-wife consulting firm into an award-winning, global social media and word-of-mouth marketing agency. Prior to the agency’s inception, Carrie had over ten years sales and marketing experience, and worked both on the client side and in media. On the brand side, Carrie and her team took Polaroid’s I-Zone Camera and grew it to be the number one selling camera in North America. In media, Carrie was the number one salesperson in the country for the Walt Disney Company’s Radio Division. Carrie is an established thought-leader in her field and regularly writes for Inc. and Forbes magazine. Her most recent keynote is: “Shut Up and Listen: How Listening Will Earn Your Brand More Money Than Talking Ever Will”.
Under Carrie’s leadership, Likeable Media is the only agency to win three consecutive WOMMY awards from the Word of Mouth Marketing Association (WOMMA). She led her team to generate over $15 million in revenue, landing the agency on the INC 500 List in 2011 and 2012. In 2013, Likeable Media was named one of the Top 50 Fastest-Growing Women-Owned Businesses by WPO and American Express OPEN. The company is also listed as 28th “Best Place To Work in NYC” by Crain’s New York Business. Carrie currently lives in New York with her husband, Dave Kerpen, New York Times Bestselling Author, and her daughters Kate and Charlotte.
