A Retirement Primer: Focusing on the End Game

Online

This presentation will offer tips on how to build a healthy retirement plan.

Thu, Apr 10, 2014 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM EDT

Retirement planning is a critical issue for all of us. According to a 2012 report from the Center for Retirement Research, only about 30 percent of households are financially prepared for retirement by age 62. Additionally, other studies have found that people who develop financial literacy are better able to attain their financial goals. One component of building your financial literacy is to understand the drivers and criteria of successful retirement planning: begin with the end in mind.

This presentation will offer tips on how to build a healthy retirement plan and touch on the following issues:

o Why Do You Need A Retirement Plan?
o How Much Will You Need To Retire?
o How Do You Build A Retirement Portfolio With Mutual Funds?
