Come do some good, socialize, and knit/crochet/learn how to knit!
This summer, we’re knitting for our soldiers and military families. Whether or not you support US military policy, those who serve and their families make many sacrifices for our freedom.
For this campaign, we’re doing something a little different. You can exercise your freedom at each knitting night this spring and summer by either….
- Knitting a scarf for a soldier that will be included in an Operation Gratitude care package next fall,
– Or, bringing in your current knitting/crochet/needlepoint project as long as you provide a monetary donation (of any amount) to the Fisher House Foundation’s scholarships for military children or military spouses.
Patterns for very easy-to-knit scarves will be provided at the event. And, affordable supplies (needles and yarn) will be made available for purchase. You can, however, use any pattern for a wool or acrylic 5″×48″ scarf made with subtle colors suitable for men and women.
Light refreshments will be served.
These free events are co-sponsored by Life Junctions LLC and ESWS Music Together.
If you don’t know how to knit, someone can teach you.
Please RSVP email@example.com. Feel free to invite a friend!
