The 85 Broads Boston University Chapter will be having its annual spring intercollegiate conference, entitled “Trailblazers: Women Converging on the Road to Success” on Saturday, March 21 at the Boston University School of Law from 10:00AM – 5:00PM in Barrister Hall. This year’s conference will bring together undergraduate women from different universities in the Boston area to listen to and network with highly successful women in different industries. Our list of speakers include women who have worked in law, healthcare, fashion & retail, non-profit, marketing, hospitality, and more!
This year’s keynote speakers are Umber Ahmad and Kabrina Chang. Ms. Ahmad, a former Vice President at Goldman Sachs and current Principal at Goldrenridge Capital in New York, worked as a consultant with many different healthcare institutions, hospitals, and health systems before beginning her career in finance. She will provide insight on achieving balance and personal satisfaction and give career advice. Kabrina Chang, a lawyer and current professor at the BU School of Management, will speak about transitioning from college to career and navigating one’s career path.
Our speakers for breakout sessions include successful and talented women from companies such as Coach, Inc, Marriott International, Emerge Global (non-profit), Credit Suisse, and more!
The aim of our conference is to connect and empower undergraduate women from all academic disciplines and career interests to define and achieve success on their own terms. We will have speakers from various professions with diverse experiences aside from just their current careers who will tell their stories, discuss challenges they have faced along their career paths, provide personal insight on achieving career success, and speak about other topics catered to women. Our attendees will be able to take away valuable information from our speakers and tailor it to fit their own career interests.
