SABANY, SABANJ and Women’s Education Project present a panel event to discuss state and federal laws that support and impede women’s success in the workplace. Topics will include anti-discrimination and harassment laws and training, equal pay laws, the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and maternity leave laws. The panel will also discuss legal limitations and practical challenges to implementing the current laws. In addition to hearing Ms. Patel’s experience with enforcement and implementation, Ms. Mir will discuss employment law in the private sector and Ms. Gill, a business owner, will share her perspective from a management point of view.

Following the panel, there will be a networking reception with cocktails and appetizers for attorneys, business owners, and the nonprofit community to further share their ideas on these topics.
