Helping Your Kids Through the College Selection Process

Listen to this Jam Session for tips on how to help your child through the college selection process.

Thu, Aug 21, 2014 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM EDT

Do you dream of thriving during the roller-coaster ride of your teen’s last years of high school? Whether you’re the parent of a senior or a junior, you need to get clear on your role during the college selection process, help your teen become college ready—not just college eligible, and create the relationship and future you desire.

If you and your teen are just beginning the college search or about to make a final choice it, in this session you will learn strategies and tips designed to help you:

  1. Get clear on you goals
  2. Get out of your teen’s way
  3. Get on with envisioning your new lives

Dr. Jill Greenbaum provides a path for this exciting journey, offering thought-provoking conversation, guidance, exercises, and answers, based on her years as a teacher, principal, curriculum designer, visual coach and parent of a college graduate.

Jill Greenbaum, Ed.D., is a nationally recognized speaker and expert in college admissions and wellness. She’s an innovator in using visuals to coach teens. Her book, How to Major in You and Find the Right College helps teens to understand themselves, meet challenges, and problem-solve. She brings her expertise in interactive learning, practical strategies, and resources to her coaching clients. Jill is also an educator, writer, parent of a college graduate, and has been an alumni interviewer.
