Join Amy Klein of VolunteerConnect to learn about Skills-Based and Board-Based Volunteering.
Skills-based volunteering is a way to apply yourprofessional skills, experience or education to make a difference at a non-profit or community organization. Many non-profits don’t have the financial means to pay for all of the skills they need to get their work done. Volunteers who provide expertise in areas like accounting, marketing, strategic planning, graphic design, or facilities operations not only make a tremendous difference to helping the non-profits create social change, but also get the chance to develop and enhance their professional skills. Through skills-based volunteering, volunteers add depth to their resume, enhance their leadership, communication and decision-making skills, increase their network and achieve personal fulfillment.
Amy will also touch on Board-based volunteering as another way to apply and share your skills while also developing your network and raising your professional profile. Both Skills-based and Board-based volunteerism are happening right here in central New Jersey, join us September 26th to learn more.
Light Breakfast snacks and coffee will be served.
