Running With Heels December Dinner Party “You Don’t Have to Have Sight to Have Vision”
3 hours
Join us as we bid farewell to 2014 at our final dinner party of the season featuring special guest Amy Dixon who lost 97% of her vision to a rare type of inflammatory eye diseases just eight years ago at the age of 35.
Now legally blind and aided by her service dog, Elvis, Amy is on a mission to help empower people to overcome obstacles such as illness, injury and professional challenges by teaching the merits of educating yourself and becoming an expert in what challenges you. Her message “One does not need sight to have vision” powerfully reflects her determination to succeed in all aspects of her professional and personal and athletic life.
Amy leads by example. Not only is she a wine expert, she is also an elite Para-triathlete competing on the world ITU Paratriathlon circuit on the USA Paratriathlon Team, training and racing for the upcoming Paralympics as both a cyclist and triathlete. She is ranked 7th in the world for the sport of triathlon, and 3rd in the country for cycling.
Reservations are $75 per guest.
