Networking is the number one "unwritten" rule for success in business.

Please join the ladies of Ellevate for a night of celebration and networking. Don’t miss the opportunity to hear from our inspiring and motivating special guest, Sallie Krawcheck, former Bank of America President of Global Wealth & Investment Management. Krawcheck acquired Ellevate, formerly 85 Broads, in 2013 and now manages the organization as Chair. She has often noted that “Investing in women is simply smart business” and is expressing this view through her ownership in the Ellevate companies. Sallie is planning on speaking to the group at 6pm sharp so get there early! Light refreshments will be provided.

I must confess, before this event I had been having doubts about the value of joining Ellevate. I signed up at the end of last year and used a couple of the resources but wasn't sure if I would renew my membership...until last night's event. I really enjoyed meeting such a diverse group of women and made some great connections. I got several potential stories for a blog I write on women in career transition (small plug...www.career2.0blog.net) and enjoyed Sally's short but interesting talk. I hope there will be more events like this on a regular basis. It's nice to get feedback on what one is doing but also to hear about other women's challenges and experiences in starting over. Thank you!
