Once your child gets that job or internship, s/he needs to manage her/his earnings well. Learn basic finance concepts to share, good habits to start immediately, resources for finance education, and a checklist of things parents can do to help.
Linda Reals brings with her extensive campus recruiting experience in Investment Banking, Consulting and Media. Currently, Linda serves as Manager of the Barnard College’s Financial Fluency Program. Prior to Barnard., Linda recruited for Time Inc, Andersen Consulting, First Manhattan Consulting and Citigroup. Linda started her career as a Financial Analyst for Solomon Brothers, Inc and later as a Private Banker for Citibank Asia. Linda majored in economics at Barnard College, class of 1992.
Caroline Ceniza-Levine is co-founder of SixFigureStart, a career coaching firm helping Gen Y students and young professionals launch fulfilling and financially rewarding careers. Caroline has recruited for start-ups through Fortune 500 companies, including Accenture, Booz Allen & Hamilton, Citigroup, Disney ABC, Pfizer and Time Inc.. Caroline is also Adjunct Assistant Professor of Professional Development at Columbia University, School of International and Public Affairs and a career advice columnist for CNBC.com, Conde Nast’s Portfolio.com, Vault.com and Wetfeet.com. Caroline began her career in management consulting / investment banking, as an engagement manager at Oliver, Wyman & Company and as a summer analyst at Goldman Sachs. Caroline majored in music and economics at Barnard College, class of 1993.
