Madeline Singas is a career prosecutor who brings a commitment to justice, compassion, and integrity to her job as Acting District Attorney of Nassau County. Upon taking office in January 2015, Singas became the first Greek-American and the second woman to become the top law enforcement official of Nassau County.
Beginning her career in the Queens District Attorney’s office in 1991, Singas quickly assumed a leadership role in the Domestic Violence Bureau, prosecuting hundreds of cases in New York City’s second-most populous borough.
She is a graduate of Bronx High School of Science, Barnard College at Columbia University, and Fordham University Law School.
