Ellevate is thrilled to host Twitter Chats featuring our outstanding Executive Council level members from chapters all over the world.
Please join us on November 18th for our special #EllevateYourself Twitter Chat with international leadership and entrepreneurship expert, and Africa regional leader at Vital Voices Global Partnership, Celena Green (@celenagreen).
Celena Green is Director, Africa/Economic Empowerment at Vital Voices Global Partnership, an international organization based in Washington, DC. Celena joined Vital Voices in 2008 and leads the development and implementation of international programs serving women leaders in sub-Saharan Africa. She is also the monitoring and evaluation lead for Vital Voices' Economic Empowerment and Entrepreneurship team. Celena co-developed and is currently leading the Africa implementation of Vital Voices’ GROW Fellowship, a year-long accelerator program providing leadership and entrepreneurship training, technical assistance, and grants to women entrepreneurs leading small/medium enterprises. Celena also leads SPARC—Strengthening Public Advocacy for Regional Competitiveness, a four-year advocacy capacity-building program funded by the Dutch Foreign Ministry, which supports the advocacy efforts of local businesswomen’s associations in Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, and Nigeria to expand economic opportunity and remove legal barriers for women in business.
We’ll be discussing with Celena how her values have shaped her career, what is so important to remember about global women’s issues, why it’s important to invest in women and girls and more.
Please tweet your questions in advance with #EllevateYourself and we’ll discuss. See you on Twitter!
