The Event:

The Business Council for Peace Young Professionals Committee (BpeaceYPC) invites you to join us for an evening benefiting our vocational school in Rwanda. We look forward to celebrating the entrepreneurial progress of Rwandan women while enjoying lively music, dancing, and sipping delicious cocktails, courtesy of socially responsible and NEPAD compliant Starr African Rum. Snack on treats from New York City’s best African restaurants, and mingle with many of the media personalities who have supported African causes.

Our featured honoree is Jonathan Torgovnik of Foundation Rwanda: www.foundationrwanda.org

Additional features include live performances by French-African pop artist, Francis Jocky and Rwandan dancer, Claudine Mukamabano, as well as an incredible fashion show featuring Congolese and Cote d’Ivoirian designs on professional models. We are lucky to have DJ Evil Dee, NYC hip hop icon, host the after-party. More special guests TBA!!! This soiree is one-of-a-kind and not to be missed. We hope to share this special evening with you.

The Cause:

The Bpeace Rwanda program was founded in 2005, but now more than ever, the Rwandan people need our help. We cannot stand along the sidelines as we have in the past with so many other instances of genocide.

With ethnic conflict reigniting on the western border, we need to create incentives to preserve peace. More jobs means less violence. This school will help make that mission a reality.

If you cannot attend on the 26th, please make a donation. Spread awareness by forwarding this message to your friends and family.
