Brown Bag Lunch: The Basics of Socially Responsible Investing
1 hour & 30 minutes
Please join us for the first in our series of informal brown bag luncheons on socially responsible investing (SRI). Sonia Kowal, President and Director of Socially Responsible Investing at Zevin Asset Management, will discuss how traditional and socially responsible investing differ and give some suggestions on how to take the first steps into the world of socially responsible investing.
Socially responsible investing can impact positive change at companies and communities on issues such as:
- ENVIRONMENTAL — Climate Change Initiatives, Recycling, Industrial Toxins
- SOCIAL — Money in Politics, Income Equality, Human Rights, Animal Welfare
- GOVERNANCE — Corporate Board Diversity, Executive Compensation
If you’ve ever wondered what socially responsible investing is and even wanted to know how you can be a socially responsible investor, come learn the A-B-C's of responsible investing. Bring your brown bag lunch and we will provide drinks & dessert.
