Leslie is best known as the Founder & CEO of Geek Girl, everyone’s favorite resource for empowering women and girls in tech (and dudes!), supporting startups and making technology easy to understand and use for everyone from 8-88 since 2008. Geek Girl accomplishes this through its highly touted, localized Geek Girl Tech Conferences around the country, workshops, seminars, consulting, Help Desks, Geek Girl TV and Geek Girl for Hire. Leslie divides her time between running localized workshops focusing on SEO, Digital Footprint/Personal Branding, and Social/Digital Media, as well as organizing Geek Girl TechCons around the country from Cape Cod to San Diego. She consults with many individuals and companies through the Geek Girl for Hire program on all tech issues and is in high demand to speak at conferences, schools and companies on a variety of various issue with tech, Internet Safety, Digital Footprint & Branding, careers in tech, and Diversity & Inclusion in STEM. She spends her free time with her geeky boyfriend of 14 years and their three devoted but highly manipulative Australian Shepherds Nano, Duke and Pepper. When they aren’t working on their own startups, you can find them supporting, mentoring and investing in other startups around the country, taking long beach walks with their dogs, practicing their 2A rights, cooking, watching zombie movies, and eating fish tacos.
