Private Screening of India's Daughter

 3 hours

Private Screening of India's Daughter

The evening is a private screening of the Peabody award-winnning documentary "India's Daughter" with the filmmaker Leslee Udwin, and hosted by leading Bollywood film actor, singer and director Farhan Akhtar (also founder of Men Against Rape & Discrimination). This movie was banned in India although many of the issues it raises are at the root of violence towards women across the world, including in the US. Apart from raves by Meryl Streep, Emma Thompson & Sean Penn, The Guardian claims "This film does what the politicians should be doing,"and LA Times says "Udwin's film has become a touchstone for women's equality worldwide."

All funds raised go to the filmmaker's charity Think Equal ( that educates children.
