Dialogue Overcomes Discord: Tools for Finding Common Ground with Civility
Our mothers always said "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it." This aphorism now seems quaint. With people either lashing out or, just as destructively, retreating into echo chambers, how can society move forward? Democracy is rooted in disagreement. We need to re-learn how to be civil so we can disagree constructively.
Please join us for this Amazing Women Luncheon. Maricopa County Deputy Sheriff Susan Monroe, Mesa Fire Assistant Chief Cori Hayes and Jacque Starks, Diversity Coordinator at Maricopa County Community College District, will discuss real-world examples and actionable tactics to help us all work and live together, even when we don't agree.
Mallary Tytel, president and founder of Healthy Workplaces, will moderate the conversation.
