Smart Single Women. Is this a modern epidemic? Is this a problem? Where are all the men? Do we need the men? Is there a glass marriage ceiling for the women who have shattered many other glass ceilings in their professional lives?
Smart Single Women (http://smartsinglewomen.blogspot.com ) is a project started by Florence N. Gwite (Chicago MBA ’02) and Franchee Harmon (Chicago MBA ’93), in collaboration with Jennifer A. Myers (Chicago JD/MBA ’05) and Michele Sung (Portland State, BS Civil Eng. ’96). We are hosting focus groups in various cities across the US and perhaps a few internationally. We would like to hear from you if you would like to be involved in the focus group or included on our mailing list.
The focus groups will bring together single, professional women between the ages of 30 and 55 to discuss and debate – confidentially – the various issues and share stories and anecdotes. The focus groups will be followed by an online survey. The data we gather will be analyzed and our analysis and conclusions will be published in a book due out in the summer of 2007.
Please RSVP to florence.gwite@gmail.com to get on the list to participate in the focus group. You will not be allowed to enter the building unless I have your name (sry if that sounds horrible, we have to provide the security with a list of names that’s all).
