Connect with Confidence: a Workshop on Networking for Introverts
Washington, DC • October 10, 2017
Networking is critical to professional success, but introverts often find it a challenge. In fact, for the less outgoing, attending a networking event can be downright scary.

While everyone knows that networking is critical to career success, networking for introverts can be downright uncomfortable. For many introverts, it can be so overwhelming that it’s often easier to stay home.
You want to connect with other people and build relationships that blossom into friendships and career boosters. But you may be an introvert, or shy, or have a touch of social anxiety. If you dread networking events, have you ever thought that writing could be your superpower?
This fun, hands-on, and practical workshop will teach you to create genuine and meaningful connections in the comfort of your home or office (heck, even in pajamas, if you want!).
You'll learn how writing - a skill you already have - can be leveraged to build and nurture your network. "Writing what?" you may ask. Writing articles, blog posts, or just emails and LinkedIn messages - whatever suits your individual networking goals.
This workshop will equip you with the right mindset for connecting through writing. It will also give you effective tools for writing with more resonance and engagement. And you will leave knowing how to wring every drop of networking value out of your future writing projects.

Meet Your Instructor, Maria Granovsky
Maria Granovsky helps lawyers build dynamic, successful practices that they love.
Maria believes that the key to career success lies in developing strong and genuine relationships, while also raising your profile as an expert. But who has time when you're billing, billing, billing? Well, working with someone who demystifies the process (and it is a process, just like writing a brief) will allow you to reach your goals without wasting time, and with far less pain and fewer false starts.
Prior to launching her coaching career, Maria earned a Ph.D. in medical and molecular genetics from the University of Toronto, and her research was published in top peer-reviewed journals, including Science and Nature Medicine. She earned her law degree from Georgetown. After a successful stint practicing patent litigatrix, Maria had enough trial experience to never want to go to trial again. She wrote and published a legal thriller that for one all-too-brief moment eclipsed John Grisham’s latest novel in sales on Amazon (way back in 2014, but still). Also, English is not her first language. Chronologically, it’s her third behind Hebrew and Russian.
We could rattle off a few more factoids about Maria (have we mentioned that she’s a wizard with African violets, or that she lived in a convent in Florence one summer by mistake?), but neither of us has all day. Shall we get to work? Register for this dynamic workshop today and we’ll start Elevating your career on October 10.
What people are saying
"I enthusiastically and without reservation recommend Maria. As a successful lawyer, Maria understands the challenges of business development in the legal profession and how to navigate those challenges. Like many lawyers, I have a high resistance to “selling.” Working with Maria, I’ve learned that it’s not about selling, but rather about consistent and authentic relationship building.”
