“Define success on your own terms, achieve it by your own rules, and build a life you’re proud to live.” — Anne Sweeney
How do you define success? Does it mean having more money? A big job? Becoming well-known in your industry? Achieving fame? Making an impact?
We grow up thinking we have our path lined up and right in front of us. We have to work hard, focus, map out the next year, 5 years, 10 years…. And then we’ll find success. But what does that really mean? What if your definition of success doesn’t match the traditional view?
The reality is, the world of business is changing. Careers are no longer linear, industries are no longer siloed. We no longer have one career that spans a lifetime; we spend decades in the workforce, and tend to move in and out of our fields, reinvent our path.
Professional women come in all shapes and sizes, have different types of goals, lifestyles, ambitions, and ideas -- but we all have one thing in common.
We’re ready for the next step.
2018 is the year of women.
