We've partenered with evolveHer for an evening of: Improv Skills for Networking Success with Nicole Frier
evolveHer is a 5,000 square foot loft in River North specifically designed to inspire creativity and foster collaboration among women.
Nicole Frier, improv actor and instructor, shares skills to help you network more effectively and have more fun while you do it.
If you're wondering what improv and networking have in common... well, a lot, in fact. Connection, flexibility and an understanding of goals are all important principles in improv, and they are also critical when having meaningful networking conversations.
Nicole will lead the group through a series of fun and easy exercises such as mirroring, posture and character, and pivoting which can help you quickly connect with strangers, put your best foot forward and increase confidence, and quickly find new discussion topics when the conversation dies down. Take part in entertaining games used by professional improv troupes, such as One Word Story, which will have you rolling with laughter as you and fellow attendees spin a hilarious story in the moment.
Absolutely no acting or stage experience is needed to enjoy this fun-filled night. After an evening with Nicole, you'll look at networking events as a chance to have fun and play, and you'll make closer connections as you relax and let the real you come out!
