Executive compensation is quite different from the typical pay packages offered to hourly workers or salaried management and professionals. According to the Center on Executive Compensation, "Executive pay arrangements typically consist of six distinct compensation components: salary, annual incentives, long-term incentives, benefits, perquisites and severance/change-in-control agreements."
Join us for a discussion about negotiating employment and severance agreements. Barbara will discuss the types of bonuses, equity plans and awards that may be available to you. She will also talk about deferred compensation plans, retirement plans, benefits and business expenses that can make up an executive's compensation. Other topics of discussion will include restrictive covenants and severance.
You will leave with:
- An understanding of all the components that can make up executive compensation
- Transition and Termination Provisions of an executive compensation contract
- Restrictive Covenants that may be part of an executive compensation contract
- When you should consult an employment attorney
