Ellevate is thrilled to host Twitter Chats featuring inspirational women and men doing great things supporting gender equality from all over the world.
When Jessica was 18, she vowed to never work in a corporate setting and to never work for oil & gas. At 29, she realized she had spent nearly 12 years in corporate oil & gas roles. She resigned a week before her 30th birthday (that mid-life crisis was real!), and started working with Criterium Group, a management consulting firm with a diverse client base.
Jessica started her career in public relations, focusing mainly on issues management (media, investors, government, crisis) for energy companies. About four years ago, she transitioned into a business development role and became the commercial lead for a $75 million acquisition and the subsequent integration. Today, Jessica is working with clients in banking and financial services, energy and technology to design transformative strategies, then turn them into reality.
Jessica holds a Bachelor of Applied Communications from Mount Royal University and a MBA from the University of Calgary, with a specialization in finance. When she’s not working, Jessica spends her days snowboarding and going on adventures with her beagle Fenway, and her nights drinking wine and eating very, very well.
