Information Session: Volunteer Involvement with the College of St Elizabeth
Online • Northern New Jersey • June 12, 2018
Our volunteer involvement at the College of St Elizabeth is expanding! Join this virtual meeting and learn how you can become a mentor at the College of St Elizabeth in Morristown NJ.
Tuesday, June 12, 2018 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM EDT
We all know mentoring can have a powerful positive impact on the lives of others. Chance are you've had mentors, have mentored others and have benefited from it. Why not get involved in a mentoring program at the College of St Elizabeth's (CSE) and make a significant contribution to the growth of a student? CSE is located in Morristown NJ and its mentoring program is designed to connect CSE students with professionals outside the campus community for the purpose of personal and professional growth.
We are pleased to offer this virtual information session so you can learn more about the program, how it benefits students, and how you can get involved. Mayelin Torres CSE' mentoring and experiential learning coordinator will share her insights into what makes this program successful and how your experience and expertise can make a difference in the life of a student. Interested members of Ellevate's community can then apply to become a mentor and be ready to go with the fall 2018 semester begins.
Karen Hunter owner of Head of the Hunt and a current CSE mentor will join Mayelin and share her experience as a mentor. Karen is also a member of the CSE Mentoring Advisory Council.
The Northern NJ Ellevate Chapter has a strong partnership with CSE, has actively supported their "backpack to business" career development series and jointly sponsored Ellevate programs. A frequent comment, when members of our community volunteer at CSE, is "that was so rewarding, I may have got more out of it than the students."
This is a free event and we'll use the zoom platform to host. See the meeting information below.
