International Women’s Day is an important day for us at Ellevate. It’s a day when the rest of the world joins us in what we do every day: celebrate women, strive to create change for equality, and be true to our mission and our values of “ellevating” women around the world. It’s a day in which there is no denying that the power of women is felt everywhere.
Now in these uncertain political times, women are stepping up to organize their communities like never before. Meet four Los Angeles women who are leading the charge. Learn why we should care about midterms and how to exercise your power to effect change.
As always, we will start by networking over light bites & refreshments and then enjoy a fascinating panel discussion moderated by Jenny Kaplan, former Bloomberg journalist & founder of WMN, a new media platform focusing on women and politics.
Panelists included Jennifer Levin, a local organizer, Jen Tolentino from Rock The Vote Nicole Beckett from SameSide, Jenny Shaughnessy from Swing the Seven and Cassandra Chase from Empowerment Congress.
Looking forward to seeing all of you!
