Ally Shoes is having our monthly book club event on September 6th at the Wing Soho!

For the month of September, we will be discussing "How Dare the Sun Rise" by Sandra Uwiringiyimana, a memoir of her as a war child from a massacre in Congo. The author will be joining the event to share her story.

If you haven't get your hands on the book, don't worry, there will be more books at the event to pass on.

We will also be bringing our newly launched nude collection to the event, so you'll get to see the five nude shades in person.

RSVP for free and feel free to bring your friends and family to the event!

*Since we're hosting the event at the Wing, we need to abide by the rules of the space - all guests must be self-identifying women or non-binary individuals. Thanks for your understanding!*

Full Agenda

We're so fortunate to have Sandra herself join us during this event to talk about this memoir and share her story with us. I hope you'll all leave the event inspired and touched, like I was when I first met Sandra.

The format will be a short interview moderated by our very own Dr. Roxann Clarke, and open Q&A from the audience afterwards. That means if you won't have time to finish the book, you can still learn about Sandra's story first-hand and meet her in person.

We'll serve tea & small bites, and will also give out a free copy of the book we're reading this month: Quiet by Susan Cain.

Be the first to share your thoughts about this event.
