One of our fellow 85 Broads members, Ingrid, has apropos suggested a cozy post-brunch fireside chat featuring her mother visiting from the US:
Dr Yongli Ni, M.D., M.P.H., L.Ac., is of the founder and president of the International Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Center as well as the International Traditional Chinese Medicine Exchange Association, Washington, D.C. A graduate of Beijing Capital Medical University, she earned a master’s degree in public health from the School of Hygiene and Public Health, Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Ni’s practice includes Western and traditional Chinese Medicine. She trained in medical research methodology and management in China, and her research work involves developing a theory of comparative analysis of Eastern and Western medical systems.
Additionally, Dr Yongli Ni is a well-known TCM doctor with her own practice for the past 15 years in Washington DC. Her client base includes a number people on Obama’s administration. She specializes in women’s health issues and she will focus on the many simple ways through which we can incorporate TCM healing into our day to day care regime for body, mind & spirit.
She will answer all your Q&A given the stress, environmental hazard and diet choices that we are bombarded with, our health have bore the brunt of our hectic and ever-changing life styles, how do we achieve balance holistically with the aid of herbs and acupuncture? How can we use TCM, with thousands years of traditions and clinical trials, to reduce medication intake and risk of hereditary disease using very simple steps? What are top short/long term women’s health concerns which TCM can best address?
