Beth and Jerome Andrews are extending an invitation to the professional women of 85 Broads to participate in an exclusive weekend-long golf instruction. The golf instruction tuition is free to focus group participants.
Beth and Jerome write: We are looking for working women interested in participating in a focus group centered around a new business idea to offer golf schools specifically geared towards and designed for working women. These focus groups will offer two days/sessions of golf instruction by Jerome Andrews, a Top 20 Under 40 Instructor in America as ranked by Golf Digest. Tuition will be waived for focus groups and participants are responsible for any other expenses (travel and lodging if required). The first school is targeted for November 3rd and 4th in Irvine/Newport Beach area (close to the John Wayne/Santa Ana Airport) at the new David Leadbetter Golf Academy at Strawberry Farms. Please e-mail 85 Broads member Beth Andrews for more information and for instructions on how to apply for participation slots. firstname.lastname@example.orgBeth talks about the idea behind developing the schools:
“I like to look at golf and its connection to business this way – I learned early in my career that like it or not many deals are struck on the golf course and relationships are often built during 18 holes and 5+ hours on the course. When women are absent they miss out on some valuable relationship building, deal making and networking time. Over time they miss out on valuable career networking time! Through the years I have observed my husband’s client base closely and what I discovered is that the majority of his clients are business professionals and business leaders, and most of the time male. Many of his clients take up the game for enjoyment but almost all also play for business reasons. Being able to play golf enabled me to be able to better network with colleagues and clients on Wall Street over the years. We would like to offer instructional programs geared towards businesswomen to help them become better prepared to play business golf and to be more likely to participate in these relationship building, networking and deal making opportunities that involve golf….and have fun while doing it!!!"
