‘Tis the season for Giving! Join Boulder Ellevate for our annual holiday party as we celebrate 2018 with dynamic evening focused on Nonprofit giving. We’re excited to host two stellar speakers - Chrissy Sollenberger and Amy Cecil - who will teach us best practices for selecting and partnering with nonprofits and the career benefits of volunteering. It is guaranteed to be a uplifting and inspiring evening!
In the spirit of the "Giving" theme, Boulder Ellevate is partnering with the YWCA of Boulder County and will be donating all proceeds from the evening to this excellent organization.
More about the YWCA Boulder County:
YWCA Boulder County is driven by its mission to eliminate racism and empower women. Its efforts reach more than 6,000 families in the community and funds raised for YWCA are used to support equity and make Boulder an open and welcoming place for everyone.
YWCA Boulder County drives impact through the following programs:
Reading to End Racism impacts 3,000 BVSD elementary school students by using literature to open up discussion with students, teachers and parents to diminish bullying and empower acceptance. Support for this program ables the YWCA to reach its goal of ensuring economic advancement and health and safety for women and girls.
Children’s Alley is the only emergency, drop-in, sliding scale, quality early childhood education center on the Front Range. This year 600 children and families will use this critical service. Affordable, high-quality childcare and family resources are one of our key strategies to achieve our mission. Support for this program ensures women have strong mentors, support and leadership development to reach their dreams.
The Latina Achievement Support program is engaging 80+ high school Latina women this year. This program in Boulder County helps young women navigate preparing for college, supporting one another and learning life and leadership skills. In 2017, 100% of the seniors in the program went on to post-secondary education.
