This event is open to all women - working, in transition or full time moms.
I believe women truly do have so many more options than we realize when it comes to career. So many high achievers throw in the towel or maintain the status quo because it feels like an all or nothing situation. Or perhaps because we don’t realize just how common non-linear career paths have become. Or because we hold the belief that pursuing dreams outside the norm is for massively successful women with bazillion dollar safety nets. Or that part-time roles aren’t interesting or lucrative enough.
Whatever the reason, let’s open our minds to new possibilities. Come prepared for an interactive discussion and great company!
I’ve invited three women who I know and respect to come share their stories and wisdom.
- Kim Annick Mitchell, Founder, KAM Interior Design
- Andra Winkour Newman, Co-Founder, QuadJobs
- Vivian Garcia – Tunon, Founder, Elevation Line & VGT Consulting
- Laurie Thompson, Heidrick & Struggles
Suggested reading (entirely optional):
- Book: Work, Pause, Thrive by Lisen Stromberg
- Podcast: How I Built This with Guy Raz
- Book: How Women Rise by Sally Helgesen
LUNA events bring professional working mothers together to share questions, stories and challenges. Through connecting with each other and hearing from invited speakers, guests are offered inspiration, ideas and support from a group of extraordinary women.
*while Heidrick and Struggles has graciously donated use of its boardroom for my passion project, this is not a firm sponsored event .
