Research has proven that organizations with diverse boards of directors perform better than those with homogeneous boards. And yet, women still make up just a small percentage of the population of board members across all industries in the US and the world. Just last year then Governor Jerry Brown signed SB826, requiring publicly held corporations in California to have at least one woman on their boards by the end of 2019 and that number grows by the end of 2021.

Being an active member of a Board of Directors—whether with a for-profit organization, a non-profit, or a government agency—can have huge advantages for your professional growth and career.

Come hear the perspectives of women Board of Directors.

During this event, you will learn what it's like to sit on the board of an organization, the personal growth that comes along with it and how you can position yourself for a role as a board member.
